Virtual Volumes
Virtual volumes are unique file systems that look and act like local drives but are evenly distributed across the entire drive set. Virtual volumes can be created, and size changed in seconds to track your project requirements. Because of the virtual drive set, Facilis guarantees that every volume has the same performance, no matter if the system is empty or almost full.
Shared File System
Our Shared File System was designed for video and audio content, to be easy to use and feature-rich. It changes what’s old, clunky, and inefficient about TCP-IP network file systems. The Shared File System delivers all the scalability and reliability of NAS with the high performance and feature set only available with SAN, but without multi-layer networks and expensive client licenses.
Smart Access Rules
Smart Access Rules utilizes the Facilis Shared File System to secure paths and files against unwanted activity. Normal access control (ACLs) can restrict writes or changes to folders or files in a certain location, but Smart Access Rules goes well beyond that. Secure folders and file types from deletion even while modifying and saving project files, working with camera raw and proxies, and sharing media and project directories. This is modern filesystem security built for creative workflow.
Facilis Console
Included with every shared storage server, the Console is a user-facing representation of the Facilis Shared File System and virtual volume management. This is the home of our revolutionary Smart Access Rules, Bandwith Prioritization, Dynamic Volume Management, and of course our WANLink remote access solution for hybrid and remote workflows.
FastTracker
Asset management products range from the very simple to the wildly complex. The more difficult to deploy and maintain, the less likely you'll continue to use it. FastTracker was designed to process your assets in the background, providing a way to search, create previews or editorial proxies, automate transcription and auto-tagging, or simply serve as a secure method to access content via LAN or Web. FastTracker brings the best of the complex MAMs into a simple package that's included with all Facilis servers.
WANLink Remote Access
WANLink delivers an “In-facility” workflow to remote editing clients using the WANLink Client, included with all Facilis servers. Through a secure and encrypted connection, remote users can mount project volumes like they’re on-premises, without the setup and latency of VPN. Workers on home desktops enter the same user account and are provided the same volume permissions and access rules, for the ultimate in seamless workflow.
Backup and Archive
With Facilis Object Cloud and Object LTO, backup and archive data is managed as easily as your primary storage. With simple setup and deployment, a Facilis virtual volume can act as the cache drive for cloud and LTO files. After writing to the archive location, the disk-based data can be flushed but remains visible, able to be searched and restored manually or through FastTracker MAM.
