Using the same simple drag-and-drop approach as Object Cloud, Facilis Object LTO delivers a robust LTO tier to any shared storage environment. Object Cloud
As an add-on to many existing Facilis servers or any newly purchased Facilis HUB Shared Storage System, Object Cloud software utilizes a small Facilis virtual volume as the disk cache for a cloud account of unlimited capacity. When cloud storage is purchased through Facilis, a yearly fee is applied and there are no additional fees regardless of how many times you access the files. Add the cloud account renewal to your Facilis Total Care support contract, and always be supported and protected!
Object LTO
Paired with a new or existing LTO tape library, Object LTO lets you use a native Facilis volume as the cache for your LTO tape storage library. Copy files to cache via simple drag-drop. After they’re successfully written to tape, the file content is flushed but still viewable in the cache. The cache is available on the server, or as a mounted volume on client desktops for immediate access to restored data. Combine LTO with the Object Cloud package and be protected locally and globally!
FastTracker Backup and Archive Management
It’s not enough to just send your project to the cloud or LTO, you have to know it’s gotten there, and you have to be able to restore it. This is easy with Object Cloud & LTO, as FastTracker indexes the source, performs the backup, and shows you when it’s been sent to LTO or Cloud. If you want to search and sample your data prior to restoring it, FastTracker has a preview clip with audio for playback even when the file is only on LTO or cloud. Restoring is as simple as a right mouse click, or background file copy operation.
FastTracker can automate copies to LTO or upload to cloud. Through the FastTracker interface, restore files and prefetch file contents to the cache volume to be used directly on the end-user desktops. The orange dot says it’s not on the server, but you can get it back anytime!
