Facilis WANLink Remote Access

Facilis WANLink Direct Remote Access

Other shared storage manufacturers force you into the world of Cloud and VPN, incurring substantial cost, adding complexity and requiring IT oversight, while increasing workflow latency and keeping your artists waiting for their files. Facilis delivers simplicity for remote workgroups, with an encrypted link through our own shared file system. You can have remote access to your internal server storage today, with no need for a dedicated VPN or any external cloud storage, with higher speeds and lower latency than any VPN can offer.

The Facilis Client Console will connect directly to a local IP in your facility, or to a public IP address on the internet using a unique workstation ID that can’t be replicated. In both cases encryption is available (default active for internet connections), and client workstations must be authorized to use the server (default for internet connections). Once connected and authorized, a valid user account will determine the storage resources available to the client workstation. This is just one of the many features that come with our video storage servers. Get a detailed demonstration today!

Same User Accounts and Access Control

The tough part about deploying cloud and VPN is now you have two sets of credentials, and accounts to manage. If you have a rapidly changing workflow with people coming on and off jobs, this can be time consuming. With WANLink, all your local user accounts are usable for remote clients too, even workstation OS login names!

Familiar Interface and Features

If you’ve ever tried to guide someone through cloud access interface, you’ll know it’s best to avoid. WANLink is the same interface your editors use at the office, to mount and unmount storage volumes for projects. You can even push mount volumes the same way through the Admin Console for the ultimate control.

Application Compatibility

Every tried mounting a cloud drive for your editing application? It’s just not usable, especially if you work with Media Composer. With WANLink, volumes appear on the remote workstation the same way they are presented on the LAN desktop. Fully compatible with the software you need to use to get the job done.
